Contract Credit Checks at The Smartphone Company
As with all online mobile phone retailers, taking out a mobile phone contract with The Smartphone Company will mean that it is necessary to pass a credit check. Once you apply for the contract your credit or debit card will be verified with a CV2/AVS check. This takes seconds and assuming all is well you can look forward to your order being processed swiftly.
In some cases the network that you are connecting to will also run a credit check – given the extremely high value of current handsets they obviously need to ensure that they are doing all they can to protect themselves from fraudulent applications. This is generally not the case for upgrades as you will have an existing account with the network.
It is important that your financial information is always kept up to date and that your cards bear your correct name and are registered at the correct address. The Smartphone Company offer free next working day delivery on all mobile phone contracts for orders placed before 8pm Monday to Saturday. Orders placed after 8pm on a Saturday would be processed on a Monday for Tuesday delivery.
The phone will be delivered by DPD will email and/or text message you with tracking details for the package. You will generally be given a 1 hour delivery window on the day of delivery. You will need to sign for the package and it can only be send to the registered billing address due to the high value nature of the phone.
